Australia Day

On January 26th it is Australia Day which is basically the same as Canada Day. Lots of fireworks, BBQs and beer! I was glad to be at surf camp for the big day because there were 15 million people in Sydney! We saw footage from the harbour and it was just filled from edge to edge with boats. On this day at camp we had to get up at 6 am so we could finish early and enjoy the day! Everyone gets the day off so it was nice for the guys at the camp to finish at 1 and spend the rest of the day relaxing. We all went up to the pub up the road. And by road, I mean straight uphill in the blistering sun. A beer felt great after that walk every day. After the pub we went back to camp for dinner, cricket and drinking games! It was a lot of fun and a good way to spend our last night at camp.
